About Us

At Danvak Labradors, we seek to produce dogs with outstanding temperament, health and beauty—true to the AKC breed standard. All breeding dogs have been cleared by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for hip and elbow dysplasia. Additionally, hearts have been cleared by a canine cardiologist (auscultation + echo) and eyes by an American College of Veterinary (ACVO) ophthalmologist. We perform multiple genetic tests to ensure our puppies are never affected by any preventable genetic condition, including but not limited to hereditary nasal parakeratosis (HNPK), progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), and exercise-induced collapse (EIC).

Given that purebred labradors only come in three colors (black, chocolate, and yellow), we DO NOT breed “silvers” or any other unrecognized color.

All litters are whelped and raised in our home. Puppies are very well socialized, and we work with them daily to track their progress. Given that this is a hobby for us, we only breed when we plan to keep a puppy for ourselves. Puppies are placed as pets on AKC Limited Registration (i.e., not permitted to be bred or shown). Puppies come microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked, and with a lifetime microchip registration with AKC Reunite. Puppy selection is performed by us based on the information that you provide in our conversations, and puppies begin going to their new homes when they turn 8 weeks old. We do ask that you come to our home for pick up.

We take our responsibility very seriously and thus our home will always be open to any of our pups for the rest of their lives. If you or someone you know owns a Danvak Labrador and can no longer care for it, please contact us immediately. No questions asked.
